At approximately 7:51pm members along with our automatic response from Mechanicstown were alerted for a bus accident with a bus down into a tree. Car 1 and Rescue 214 responded on the assignment. 911 gave the update of 25 students on board the bus and the driver was unconscious and not breathing. Students were able to administer CPR to the driver prior to emergency services arriving on scene. Medevac was put on standby for the incident. Car 1 also requested an additional Rescue on the assignment from Coldenham FD. Once on scene emergency crews assisted with CPR while transferring patient to EMS. Per the request of EMS medevac standby was cancelled. Crews from both departments mitigated any hazards as well as keep accountability of all the students on the bus. Scene was turned over to New York State Police.
